Edible Easter gifts to make with your little ones
Get creative in the kitchen with these simple edible gift ideas, perfect for presenting at an Easter party or giving to friends and family instead of eggs. Don’t forget about presentation: use cellophane bags or boxes decorated with pretty ribbon as the finishing touch.
Everyone loves fudge, and going down the ‘no cook’ method is the perfect way to get your little ones involved. Mix softened butter with one can of Milbona condensed milk, a teaspoon of vanilla extract and Belbake icing sugar. Add cocoa powder, chocolate chips or whatever flavours you fancy, and pour into a tray to set overnight. For a nice nod to the occasion add dried fruits to the fudge mix and, once set, use melted white chocolate to pipe little crosses on each square – a fun spin on hot cross buns.

Chocolate nest cakes
Chocolate nest cakes are ever so easy, and little ones of all ages will love mixing the ingredients together (and licking the spoon afterwards!). Melt 200g of chocolate and mix through 90g of your favourite Crownfield cereal – Cornflakes, Rice Snaps or crushed Malt Wheaties work well. Divide between cake cases, fill the centre with mini chocolate eggs and chill for 2-3 hours until set.
